Do not move here. We have been here two months and have rodent and pest problems. Your lease says you owe x amount but when it's time to pay you owe more. It's not worth your money!! We walk out our door and get hit with the smell of drugs every time. When eefirst looked they showed us a beautiful apartment saying they all look like it. So on Monday we said k we are ready to move. We ended up on the bottom floor next to maintenance. It looked NOTHING like the one they had shown us. There are cigarette burns all over the carpets. Cracks in the walls. Spray painted counters. Spray painted sink. We would move but paid $500 deposit that I wish to not lose.

I lived in this complex for a year and it was the worst experience of my life. All of my neighbors did/sold drugs, I saw one man "servicing" another man in the parking lot, and everything was always broken and never got fixed. I never felt safe living in this complex. My bedroom window was on the walkway and I cannot tell you how many times I would wake up to some idiot banging on it in the middle of the night. Every night I went to sleep thinking that someone would break in. and I didn't sleep well the entire time i lived there. For a year after I moved out, anytime someone would wake me up unexpectedly, I would wake up terrified and in a panic purely from the trauma of living here. This complex is always in the news for things like flooding (water and sewage) and shootings happen at least once a year. DON'T EVEN THINK OF LIVING HERE. YOU WILL REGRET IT.

DO NOT GIVE THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX YOUR MONEY!!!!! It is not worth the "great price," because you will end up spending HUNDREDS more than told or expected. They lie, constantly! No one fixes the work orders, they walk into your home unannounced and uninvited, they will say you haven't paid when you have receipts, and they will do anything.... and I mean ANYTHING to get another penny out of you. DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!!! Three words: BED BUG INFESTATION. These apartments are disgusting, dirty, destroyed, bugs are everywhere in the buildings including roaches, and HOT AS HELL. If I could give no stars I would, better yet negative stars. This places needs to be shut down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND READ THIS: Living in this apartment complex has been the worst experience of my life. The management is manipulative, cold-hearted, and full of lies. They are only in it for money, and are extremely greedy in the way they do their business. They will switch their stories, change their policies, and make rules out of thin air just for another penny. When I first moved in and was filling out the "What is wrong" paper, I should've ran away that very instant. Fast. They are disgusting living environments, and I say THEY because I have been in multiple of apartments in the complex. Not only are the apartments gross from the stains, burns, bad fix it jobs on the walls, and so on (trust me, I could go on for a very VERY long time) they are dangerous too!! Upon moving in there was an inch gap between the door and the seal, letting in god knows how many bugs a day. Along with the gap in the door, there was a 1-2 inch gap between the carpet and linoleum which exposed the tack strip completely. Not to mention the leaky ceiling and mold growing. Being the persistant person I am, I went in five weeks in a row to get work orders put in to get the ceiling fixed so water would no longer drip onto my head in the mornings. It took them until I said the word "court" that they had someone in to fix my ceiling BEFORE I had even returned from the office. They do not care, they will not wait for your permission to enter the property, they do not do a good job-just quick fixes without sanding or paining, and they take WEEKS to get simple jobs done. And if this hasn't convinced you yet to run away from Atherton Park Apartments as fast as you possibly can, I hope to god this next sentence will frighten you: Not only does the apartment complex have the usual bugs that occasionally find their way into most home and apartment complexes, be prepared for cockroaches and bed bugs. They are not to be trusted. THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX IS NOT WORTH IT, I PROMISE.
